Maksym Sakharov is a Ukrainian co-founder, Group CEO, and board member of WeFi, a project described as a decentralized onchain bank. ^[1]

Early Life & Education

Maksym Sakharov was born in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. He holds an MBA in FEA Management from Zaporizhzhia National University (2011), European Institute of Management & Finance, CIMA - Manage Finance in Digital world (2022). ^[4]

Career

Sakharov began his career in 2011 in operational and business development roles in software and fintech. In 2015, he founded Aeon Labs, an IT company focused on helping startups and enterprises across Asia build innovative fintech and blockchain solutions. ^[4]

In 2020, co-founded Whitemark, a blockchain-based real estate platform supported by 500 Startups. ^[5]

In 2021, co-founded EXFLOW, a European OTC crypto exchange offering B2B services.

In 2024, co-founded WeFi, the world’s first Deobank, a decentralized on-chain bank that democratizes access to DeFi. WeFi allows users to seamlessly manage both fiat and crypto assets within a single layer, combining the convenience of traditional finance with the openness of Web3. in early 2025, WeFi mobile app was launched publicly. ^[4]

In May 2025, WeFi earned a Guinness World Records title for “Most viewers of a blockchain live stream on YouTube” with 121,348 concurrent viewers. ^[6]
