Union Protocol was launched by a team of six engineers with a background in building cross-chain infrastructure.

The project began a phased rollout of its testnet.

A limited mainnet was launched with a focus on expanding interoperability within the Bitcoin DeFi (BTCfi) ecosystem.

The ninth and final testnet phase concluded after processing over 300 million transactions.
