Career 

Casey Lau is the Head of Asia at Web Summit Europe’s largest tech conference. He is also the strategic advisor of Frontier Collective, a company based in Vancouver, Canada, advising on Web3, the metaverse, VR/AR, climate tech, AI, and eSports, and digital arts and culture such as NFTs, VFX, and animation. ^[4]

Lau is also the co-founder of StartupsHK, an organization supporting Hong Kong's internet and mobile start-ups by holding meet-ups, annual conferences and monthly networking events for entrepreneurs, founders, and investors in the tech space. ^[4]

Previously, he was an entrepreneur-in-residence and venture partner at Blue Startups. Blue Startups is an accelerator in the United States that focuses on supporting scalable-technology companies, including those in web, software, and mobile industries. It aims to help these companies compete effectively on a global scale. The company holds a role in the entrepreneurial landscape in Hawai‘i and in facilitating connections between Asia and North America. ^[4]

Lau held the position as Community Director at the Asia-Pacific, Global Entrepreneurship Program at IBM. He was also a Senior Community Development Manager of APAC at SoftLayer Technologies, and co-founder of Popcorn Media Network, a Hong-Kong based publisher specializing in luxury shopping, style and lifestyle. ^[4]
