## Career

Kong began his professional career at Deutsche Bank in Seoul, joining as an Analyst in April 2012, then progressing to Associate in February 2015 and to Vice President in February 2017. As a Vice President, he worked as an equity research analyst covering the technology, media, and telecommunications sector until May 2018. In May 2018, Kong joined Coinone as Head of Research and Business Development, where he established and led the exchange’s research team. During his time there, he published cryptocurrency research covering topics including the intrinsic value of cryptocurrencies, ICO investment, and valuation methods for consumption, platform, and utility tokens. Kong joined McKinsey & Company’s Seoul office as an Associate in July 2019, was promoted to Engagement Manager in July 2021, and became an Associate Partner in July 2024.
