## Career

Sit began his career at Dymon Asia Capital in Singapore in 2012, where he worked on the execution desk and managed a trading book across foreign exchange, commodities, interest rates, and equities. The role gave him exposure to multiple financial markets rather than limiting him to a single trading desk or asset class. He remained at Dymon Asia Capital until 2016 before moving to BNP Paribas. In January 2017, Sit joined BNP Paribas as a trader in New York, where he managed the bank's Asia foreign exchange group. During this period, he became involved in cryptocurrency trading, initially focusing on arbitrage opportunities. Later that year, he left BNP Paribas and returned to Singapore to establish QCP.

Sit founded QCP in September 2017, initially operating the firm as a two-person proprietary [cryptocurrency](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) trading business. QCP subsequently expanded into over-the-counter trading for high-net-worth clients and market making, with a focus on Asian [fiat](https://iq.wiki/wiki/fiat-money)-to-[crypto](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) markets. The firm later developed a significant derivatives business, particularly in options and other structured products, alongside investments in [blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain) and [cryptocurrency](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) companies through its venture activities. Sit was also involved in establishing the Crypto OTC Roundtable Asia (CORA) in 2019, an industry initiative focused on developing common settlement practices for institutional [cryptocurrency](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) trading. ## Interviews

### Crypto Latency

In a May 2025 interview on the Crypto Options Unplugged podcast, Sit discussed [crypto](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) market infrastructure, options trading, and institutional adoption. He examined the latency challenges posed by cloud-based infrastructure in [crypto](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) markets compared with the physical proximity of traditional financial markets, noting how network architecture can affect trading efficiency. Sit also discussed the maturation of [crypto](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) options markets, arguing that relatively low option pricing reflected improvements in market structure, liquidity, and the resilience of major assets such as [Bitcoin](https://iq.wiki/wiki/bitcoin) and [Ethereum](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum). The conversation covered the growing influence of options and gamma positioning on market dynamics, increasingly sophisticated modeling, and the potential for greater institutional participation as regulation and infrastructure develop. Sit also discussed [crypto's](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) use as [collateral](https://iq.wiki/wiki/collateral), 24/7 markets, tokenized [real-world assets](https://iq.wiki/wiki/real-world-assets-rwas), and the expanding role of options in [crypto](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) credit markets and the integration of [digital assets](https://iq.wiki/wiki/digital-assets) with traditional finance. ## Panels

### Next Phase of Markets

In October 2025, Sit participated in a panel at [TOKEN2049](https://iq.wiki/wiki/token2049) alongside Wee Kian Lim of DBS Digital Exchange and [Armani Ferrante](https://iq.wiki/wiki/armani-ferrante) of [Backpack Exchange](https://iq.wiki/wiki/backpack), moderated by [Sylvia To](https://iq.wiki/wiki/sylvia-to) of [Bullish](https://iq.wiki/wiki/bullish). The discussion examined the maturation of the [digital asset](https://iq.wiki/wiki/digital-assets) market structure and its shift from primarily speculative activity to greater institutional participation, including developments such as cross-margining and unified trading platforms designed to improve capital efficiency. The panel also considered the evolution of [DeFi](https://iq.wiki/wiki/defi) beyond its earlier speculative phase, including the integration of traditional assets and on-chain settlement. Sit and the other speakers discussed [tokenization](https://iq.wiki/wiki/tokenization) of [real-world assets](https://iq.wiki/wiki/real-world-assets-rwas) such as bonds and real estate, particularly regarding faster settlement and the use of tokenized assets as [collateral](https://iq.wiki/wiki/collateral). They also examined regulatory arbitrage as a strategic consideration in selecting jurisdictions and argued that [crypto's](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) broader impact extends beyond asset trading to changes in financial settlement and infrastructure [\[6\]](#cite-id-imgROqLXIDzkVExP)
