# Tokenomics  
  
The total supply of ELON is one quadrillion tokens. Out of this, 50% of the tokens were sent to [Vitalik Buterin](https://iq.wiki/wiki/vitalik-buterin), the founder of [Ethereum](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum), to [burn](https://iq.wiki/wiki/token-burn) them and effectively remove them from circulation. This move mirrored a strategy previously deployed by [Shiba Inu](https://iq.wiki/wiki/shiba-inu), with the intent to reduce the project’s circulating supply and draw attention to its projects.
