**Gensyn Network** is a decentralized infrastructure network for AI that provides systems for computation verification, machine communication, and onchain coordination. Its architecture includes information markets, peer-to-peer communication, reproducible AI execution, and an [EVM](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum-virtual-machine-evm)-compatible [Layer-2](https://iq.wiki/wiki/layer-2) blockchain. ## Overview

![](https://ipfs.everipedia.org/ipfs/QmNUo86UBpWHf69XKKyW8D5ieHgeVXo2ReU3QgoTMNAuPv)

Gensyn is an open infrastructure network for AI that provides systems for machine communication, identity, computation verification, and onchain coordination. Its architecture includes information markets, where humans and AI models can participate in markets that evaluate predictions and other information; the Reproducible Execution Environment (REE), which is designed to produce consistent AI outputs across supported hardware for independent verification; and the Agent eXchange Layer (AXL), which enables encrypted peer-to-peer communication between machines, agents, and applications. Gensyn operates a custom [EVM](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum-virtual-machine-evm) [Layer-2](https://iq.wiki/wiki/layer-2) blockchain built with the OP Stack, which provides the settlement and coordination layer for information markets, identities, and other onchain activity.

The network uses information markets for both trading and evaluation, with market outcomes providing signals to assess AI model performance. Its blockchain records market activity and supports [smart contracts](https://iq.wiki/wiki/smart-contract), while AXL allows participants to communicate without relying on centralized servers. The native $AI token is used for economic activity across the network, including participation in information markets and interactions with onchain applications, and the protocol includes a mechanism that directs a portion of fees toward token buy-and-burn activity. ## Features

### Information Markets

Information markets are fully onchain markets on Gensyn that allow humans and AI models to trade information and predictions about defined outcomes. Anyone can create or participate in a market, with funds held by [smart contracts](https://iq.wiki/wiki/smart-contract), outcomes determined through onchain mechanisms, and market information available for others to use. Participants stake on potential outcomes, with market prices changing as new trades are made, while a dynamic pari-mutuel market mechanism is used to manage pricing and liquidity. When a market resolves, participants receive outcomes based on the result of the market, allowing the system to use trading activity as a mechanism for evaluating information.

Gensyn also uses information markets as an evaluation and learning mechanism for AI models. Models can participate directly in markets, with accurate predictions generating rewards and unsuccessful positions resulting in losses, creating an economic signal based on performance. The resulting feedback can be used to support further model training and development, while competition between models provides an ongoing mechanism for evaluating their outputs without requiring a central entity to determine which models or objectives should be prioritized. ### Reproducible Execution

Gensyn’s Reproducible Execution system is designed to make AI computations independently verifiable across different machines and hardware configurations. Standard GPU execution can produce different results from the same model and inputs because of differences in parallel computation, making direct comparison between machines difficult. Gensyn addresses this through its Reproducible Execution Environment (REE), which packages model export, compilation, inference, and output decoding into a containerized pipeline designed to produce bitwise-identical results across supported hardware. REE uses an MLIR-based compiler and specialized RepOp kernels to provide consistent execution, allowing independent machines to compare results and identify disagreements without relying on a trusted intermediary. This reproducibility supports verification for information markets, distributed machine learning, and other applications where computational results need to be independently checked. [\[7\]](#cite-id-iz7qfev123) [\[8\]](#cite-id-d89e58ztc6)

### P2P Communication

Gensyn’s peer-to-peer communication layer allows [AI agents](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ai-agents), models, and applications to communicate directly across a decentralized network without relying on centralized servers or proprietary infrastructure. The Agent eXchange Layer (AXL) provides end-to-end encrypted, application-independent networking between machines and supports [Model Context Protocol (MCP)](https://iq.wiki/wiki/model-context-protocol) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication. AXL handles functions such as peer discovery, routing, and encryption, allowing connected applications to exchange data directly while supporting both public network [nodes](https://iq.wiki/wiki/node) and privately operated networks. [\[7\]](#cite-id-iz7qfev123)

### Blockchain Protocol

Gensyn operates a custom [EVM](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum-virtual-machine-evm)-compatible [Layer-2](https://iq.wiki/wiki/layer-2) rollup built using the OP Stack ([Bedrock](https://iq.wiki/wiki/bedrock-dao)), which serves as the settlement and coordination layer for information markets, identities, and other onchain activity. Network activity is recorded onchain with execution records, providing an auditable history of market creation, trades, settlements, and participant interactions. The [EVM](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum-virtual-machine-evm)-compatible architecture also allows developers to deploy [smart contracts](https://iq.wiki/wiki/smart-contract) and applications alongside Gensyn’s native protocols and connect them with the broader [Ethereum](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum) ecosystem. The chain supports account abstraction and sponsored transactions, allowing applications to cover [gas](https://iq.wiki/wiki/gas) costs for users, while state roots and data batches are periodically committed to [Ethereum](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum) [mainnet](https://iq.wiki/wiki/mainnet) as part of its security model.

## AI Token

The $AI token is the native token of the Gensyn network and is used for machine learning verification, [staking](https://iq.wiki/wiki/staking), payments, and governance. The token is also connected to the network’s fee-based buy-and-burn mechanism, in which onchain revenue from Gensyn Foundation products is accumulated by the $AI BuyBack Vault and used to purchase $AI on [Uniswap](https://iq.wiki/wiki/uniswap) before the purchased tokens are permanently [burned](https://iq.wiki/wiki/token-burn). The vault uses a 30-minute time-weighted average price to validate swap prices and reduce the potential impact of price manipulation. Through this mechanism, a portion of network revenue is used to purchase $AI tokens and remove them from circulation. [\[2\]](#cite-id-ww9t4am9x2) [\[5\]](#cite-id-g1hafbv6od)
