**GRVT**, pronounced “Gravity,” is a hybrid [decentralized exchange](https://iq.wiki/wiki/decentralized-exchange) built on [ZKsync](https://iq.wiki/wiki/zksync). It combines offchain order matching with self-custodial settlement on a Validium-based [Layer 2](https://iq.wiki/wiki/layer-2). The platform launched a [mainnet](https://iq.wiki/wiki/mainnet) alpha in late 2024 and supports perpetual futures, spot and options markets. ## Product History

GRVT launched its [mainnet](https://iq.wiki/wiki/mainnet) alpha in late 2024 on [ZKsync](https://iq.wiki/wiki/zksync) and initially focused on perpetual futures trading. Reporting in 2025 described planned expansion into spot and options markets during 2026. By July 2026, The Block reported that spot markets were live. [\[3\]](#cite-id-zU0ZwZV8TA4rmoxr)

In March 2026, [The Block ](https://iq.wiki/wiki/the-block)reported that GRVT’s platform-reported total value locked had reached 484.1 million and cumulative two-sided trading volume had exceeded $393 billion. The report also said the platform had more than 10,000 active traders in January 2026. [\[11\]](#cite-id-54cc6c15-1b8b-48ed-a0bb-919145cea526)

## Technology and Features

GRVT uses an offchain Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) for order matching and [smart contracts](https://iq.wiki/wiki/smart-contract) for settlement, custody and margin management on a [ZKsync](https://iq.wiki/wiki/zksync)-based Validium application chain. The Block reported that transaction batches are verified with zero-knowledge proofs anchored to Ethereum. Validium data availability relies on offchain storage, which should be distinguished from the settlement layer. [\[3\]](#cite-id-zU0ZwZV8TA4rmoxr)

GRVT describes a long-term product vision called "Unified Margin" or "One Balance," enabling trading, yield generation, investment, and payments to be managed under a single account balance. This feature aims to enhance capital efficiency by allowing assets to multitask — serving as trading collateral while earning yield.

## GRVT Tokenomics

GRVT as a fixed-supply token with a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 and no additional issuance planned. The company describes holding or staking the token as a way to access membership benefits such as reduced trading fees, enhanced yield tiers and priority access to new products.
