## NiftyKit Announces Shutdown of Self-Service NFT Platform

In December 2024, NiftyKit announced that it would discontinue its self-service NFT platform as part of a strategic shift toward developing new products and services. The company stated that the decision would allow it to reallocate resources while providing users with guidance and support throughout the transition. [\[2\]](#cite-id-NfPlsEsJEJ3fNXrv)

Beginning December 5, 2024, NiftyKit stopped accepting new user registrations for the self-service platform. Following user feedback, the company extended the platform’s availability beyond its initial timeline, although support was limited to Ethereum Mainnet, Arbitrum One, Polygon, and Base. During this extension, users retained access to existing projects, but extended platform services were scheduled to end following the shutdown.

NiftyKit also announced that the creation of new NFT collections would be disabled after January 5, 2025. Existing collections, however, would continue to have access to their minting sites during the transition period, allowing creators to complete ongoing NFT drops.

The company instructed users to migrate all projects and associated assets off the platform before January 5, 2025. To facilitate the migration process, NiftyKit published documentation and guides recommending decentralized storage solutions, including the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), along with other alternative hosting options for NFT metadata and assets.

For subscribers using Pro account services, NiftyKit confirmed that access would remain available until January 4, 2025.

The company also provided migration guidance specifically tailored for Pro users to help them continue operating their NFT projects after the self-service platform was retired.

Throughout the transition, NiftyKit stated that it would continue providing documentation and customer support to help creators migrate their collections and minimize disruption before the platform’s closure. [\[2\]](#cite-id-NfPlsEsJEJ3fNXrv)
