Niki Ariyasinghe earned a Master of Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. ## Career

Niki Ariyasinghe’s career has spanned management consulting, financial services, digital assets, and [blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain) infrastructure, with senior leadership roles across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and global markets. He began his professional career at Accenture Strategy (2007–2010), where he worked as a management consultant advising clients on corporate strategy, operations, and mergers and acquisitions, primarily within financial services and the public sector.

He subsequently joined ING Australia, serving as Strategy and Planning Manager (2010–2012) and later as Head of Strategy and Planning (2012–2014). In these roles, he was involved in long-term strategic planning, financial forecasting, and the development of new business lines, working closely with senior executives and the board.

In 2016, Ariyasinghe transitioned into the digital asset sector as Business Development Lead at Abra, an early peer-to-peer payments company built on [blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain) technology, where he focused on partnerships and market entry initiatives. He later joined R3, holding leadership roles including Director of Business Development, Asia-Pacific (2016–2017), and Head of Strategic Alliances and Partner Sales, Asia-Pacific and Middle East (2017–2021), supporting enterprise adoption of distributed ledger technology.
