## Early Life and Education

According to his personal website, he started building games and software at age 12. An encounter with [BitTorrent](https://iq.wiki/wiki/bittorrent) in 2013 introduced him to peer-to-peer technology and contributed to his interest in decentralized systems. He began mining [Ethereum](https://iq.wiki/wiki/ethereum) in 2015 and later worked with [blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain) infrastructure and open-source [cryptocurrency](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) software. ## Career

### Civic Technology and Project Hetu

Before co-founding [Tria](https://iq.wiki/wiki/tria), Bhalla participated in Microsoft’s Student Partner program, where his work focused on emerging technologies including blockchain and machine learning. Bhalla also worked on civic-technology and entrepreneurship initiatives in India. His personal website states that he contributed to the Central Board of Secondary Education’s academic blockchain-document system. Bhalla began working on [Tria](https://iq.wiki/wiki/tria), originally known as Threely, in 2022, according to his personal website.
