# Education  
  
Miranda graduated from Amherst College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2014. He was a business development intern at the Golden Bridges Foundation and a private equity research analyst for the StepStone Group and Nexos Capital Partners. # Career  
  
After graduation, Miranda worked in investment banking for Willis Towers Watson, an insurance-focused global M&A advisory practice, until October 2017. He then worked as a digital transformation advisor for DirecSource, a product development and global supply chain company. In November 2018, he participated in an [EOS](https://iq.wiki/wiki/eos) Hackathon with his team, Six Degrees, and they became finalists. [\[2\]](#cite-id-83vxsxm4mvm)  
  
In March 2018, Miranda co-founded BlockSmith, an Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider for [Proof-of-Stake](https://iq.wiki/wiki/proof-of-stake) [blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain) ecosystems, where he served as CEO in 2018 and non-executive director in 2020. During this time, he worked as a strategic advisor for Lan To Capital, a private family office with an investment focus on emerging technologies.
