## Career

Serafin Lion Engel has held roles across data privacy, [blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain), and financial technology. He co-founded Datawallet in 2014, where he worked on early data sovereignty infrastructure and contributed to [blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain) development efforts until 2021. He later founded Omni in 2021, a multi-chain wallet project, and led it until its acquisition in 2024.

In 2023, he co-founded Yield.xyz, where he serves as Chief Executive Officer, focusing on infrastructure for accessing and managing yield opportunities across [blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain) networks. Alongside his entrepreneurial work, Engel has acted as a data privacy expert for CNBC since 2019 and became a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) in 2015.
