Introduction

Srujan Gurram is a Web Developer and UI and UX designer, currently working as a Full Stack Engineer and Team Lead at BrainDAO.^[1]

Early Life and Education

He started programming at the age of 15 with HTML and then slowly moved to frontend development, which blended his designing and coding skills together. During his early years, he created multiple websites using no-code tools for gaming clans he was part of with friends, covering various games. These websites served as platforms for clan members to communicate, share strategies, and organize gaming events. After school, he developed an exam materials site using WordPress, which gained popularity and attracted around 10,000 page visits per month. This site provided students with access to study materials, past exam papers, and other resources, significantly aiding their exam preparations. This experience helped him acquire skills in marketing, hosting fundamentals, SEO, and page speed optimization. However, he eventually left the site to focus on learning client-side applications and his studies. In 2023, he received a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK).

Career

He began his career in 2021 as a Webmaster at ACM JNTUK UCEV, the ACM student chapter at the University College of Engineering Vizianagaram, JNTUK.^[2] In February 2022, he joined BrainDAO as a Frontend Developer and advanced to Full Stack Engineer with experience in building the IQ.wiki site. Currently, he holds a position as a team lead engineer, working on multiple production-level projects involving frontend, backend, dev ops, blockchains, and LLMs.^[2][3]

Key Projects and Contributions

He has created various successful web tools used by thousands of users, such as Syncia, Covercons, and Notrix.^[4][5][6] Syncia, an open-source LLM-powered chatbot, has gained significant attention with numerous GitHub stars and features like text highlighting and reframing. Notrix was recognized as Product of the Day by Product Hunt, and other tools like Covercons, Timeswitch, and Coverdock have also been well-received. He has played a pivotal role in building IQ GPT and leading the creation of IQ Social. His leadership in the development of the IQ GPT core and the IQ.wiki editor, along with his major collaboration in launching iq.wiki and iq social, has been instrumental. He has also contributed significantly to internal projects and open-source efforts.
