$TAOSHI was created on the [Solana](https://iq.wiki/wiki/solana) [Blockchain](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain) on February 24th, 2024, by a pseudonymous figure known as “Mr. TAOSHI,” or “Uncle.” The name combines “TAO” and “[Satoshi Nakamoto](https://iq.wiki/wiki/satoshi-nakamoto),” acknowledging their significance in innovation. On August 26, 2024, Mr. TAOSHI stepped down, transitioning control of the $TAOSHI project to the community in a move toward full decentralization. A team of community members and advisors now leads the project's growth and development, guiding its strategic direction and fostering community engagement, marking a new phase characterized by decentralized governance and collective ownership.
