## History

The Rollup was established in 2020 by [Robbie Klages](https://iq.wiki/wiki/robbie-klages) and [Andy C](https://iq.wiki/wiki/andy-c) under the name DeFi Slate. Klages studied mathematics and philosophy at the University of Florida and became involved in the crypto industry in 2016. He has since participated in industry conferences as both an attendee and speaker. Andy C previously worked in online marketing before becoming involved in the blockchain sector.
