## Interviews

### Crypto & Wall Street Merging

In an October 2025 episode of the *When Shift Happens* podcast, Fu discussed her transition from academia to Meta and Libra before founding [Momentum](https://iq.wiki/wiki/momentum), describing the company’s goal of developing a decentralized trading platform that could connect [crypto](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) and traditional financial assets globally. She noted that [Momentum](https://iq.wiki/wiki/momentum) had launched a spot [DEX](https://iq.wiki/wiki/decentralized-exchange) less than six months earlier and had accumulated more than 1.1 billion in trading volume. Fu explained that the company planned to build its user base before expanding into additional asset classes and financial products, while using decentralized infrastructure to operate across geographic markets without the regional restrictions associated with [centralized exchanges](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cex-centralized-exchange). She also discussed the use of the [Move](https://iq.wiki/wiki/movement-network) programming language for developing secure on-chain applications and [Momentum’s](https://iq.wiki/wiki/momentum) relationship with the [Sui](https://iq.wiki/wiki/sui) ecosystem. Looking ahead, Fu described [Momentum’s](https://iq.wiki/wiki/momentum) objective of creating a universal trading platform that could integrate [KYC](https://iq.wiki/wiki/know-your-customer-kyc) and compliance requirements across assets and [blockchains](https://iq.wiki/wiki/blockchain), connecting [cryptocurrency](https://iq.wiki/wiki/cryptocurrency) markets with traditional finance.
