Yoshida's career began at Sony in 1980, where he worked for over 27 years. He also served as the President of the Handheld Computer Company at Sony, overseeing the PDA business under the CLIE brand, which achieved market success in Japan and the USA. Additionally, he was responsible for cell phone development at Sony Ericsson and served as General Manager of the System LSI Division in the Semiconductor Business Group.

In October 2007, Yoshida joined SoftBank Mobile as Senior Vice President. He played a crucial role in the transition from feature phones to smartphones and IoT devices, including the introduction of the iPhone 3G in Japan in 2008 and the launch of Android devices. His leadership also saw the introduction of the first 3G digital photoframe.

Since December 2011, Yoshida has been the CEO of DREAMFOREST Corporation, providing IoT planning, development, design, and manufacturing services, as well as consulting.
