Education

He pursued his academic studies at University College Cork. He completed his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics in 2004-2007. Subsequently, he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Economics during 2007-2008. Continuing his educational journey, he earned a Master of Science in Financial Economics in 2008-2009. ^[3]

Career

Ciarán Cronin is serving as the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Douro Labs since August 2023. Douro Labs, established by former Jump Trading and Jump Crypto employees Michael Cahill, Jayant Krishnamurthy, and Ciarán Cronin, collaborates with the Pyth Network. Their focus is on expanding the network's decentralized data services and improving access to real-time market data for blockchain participants.

Since 2022 Cronin has also been the of Director at the Pyth Data Association. The Pyth Data Association, established in Switzerland by participants of the Pyth Network, focuses on advancing the network's development. It contributes to protocol maintenance, provides grants for ecosystem projects, and supports ecosystem development.

Prior to this, he spent 6 years as the European Head of Treasury at Jump Trading LLC, a position he held from January 2016 to June 2022. Ciarán's career also includes roles at LMAX Exchange, where he served as Head of Treasury and as Treasury Manager. Before his tenure at LMAX Exchange, Ciarán gained experience at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., where he worked as a Sales Associate from June 2008 to March 2009.^[3][4]
