PayPal and LayerZero announced the creation of PYUSD0, an omnichain version of PYUSD, to expand its presence across multiple new blockchains using LayerZero's OFT standard.

The original PayPal USD (PYUSD) stablecoin, issued by Paxos, was launched on the Ethereum blockchain, marking PayPal's official entry into the stablecoin market.
