Alex Lim is a business development executive active in the technology, blockchain, and gaming sectors. He is the Head of Gaming & IP at LayerZero Labs, where he also leads the company's operations in Korea and its business development efforts in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. [1] [2]
Lim attended Mount Michael Benedictine School for his high school education from 2007 to 2010. He later pursued higher education at the University of Maryland - University College between 2013 and 2014, where he studied Liberal Arts and Liberal Studies. From 2010 to 2016, he attended Babson College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Entrepreneurship. He returned to Babson College for further studies in 2019. [2]
Andrew Lim is Head of Gaming and Korea for LayerZero Labs, where he has worked since 2024. He also serves as Executive Director and Board Member of the Asia Stablecoin Alliance, a regional organization focused on stablecoin development and adoption in Asia.
In addition to his industry roles, Lim is active in mentorship. He has been an MBA mentor at Korea University Business School since 2024 and a startup mentor with 500 Global since 2022. He also represents the Blockchain Game Alliance as Country Ambassador in Korea and regularly participates as a speaker and writer on blockchain and Web3 topics at conferences across Asia.
Lim co-founded Awesome School in 2013, an entrepreneurship education program for middle and high school students in Korea, where he remains on the board. He previously held senior positions at HAECHI Labs, serving as Vice President and Head of Business Development between 2021 and 2024. Before that, he worked at AccelerAsia as Business Development Director for the Asia-Pacific region and was part of the founding team of Media.Monks Korea, overseeing business development efforts.
Earlier in his career, Lim gained experience at Google Korea in cloud sales and marketing, at Aetna/Samsung as a research analyst, and at the Holistic Growth Initiative as a project manager. He also held managerial roles at Future Class Network and InGenius Prep. From 2011 to 2013, he completed his mandatory military service in South Korea as a sergeant with the U.S. Army’s 2nd Infantry Division Band.
