Schmidt attended Eastern Michigan University to study Technology Business Management: Cryptography and Information Assurance. [2]

Career

Mark Schmidt began his career as a Remote Technical Support Specialist at Barracuda Networks from April to October 2013. He then served as the Lead Technical Support Engineer at Duo Security until April 2015. [2]

He was also a Senior Firefox Community Support Lead at Mozilla until April 2016 when he joined Sweet as the Director of Customer Success. In November 2017 he joined Support Hacker as the Principal Customer Operations Consultant where he coaches start-up founders and executives in creating scalable business operations suited for rapid sustainable growth. [2]

Schmidt is a board member at ToDooly where he initially started as Director of Customer Success and then as Chief Operations Officer helping to identify organizational threats and opportunities, implement strategic change to increase quality, productivity, and employee satisfaction. [3]

He founded Naptha AI in 2023 and serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. The aim of Naptha Protocol is to orchestrate the completion of tasks using workflows and agents. To enable functionality like service discovery, payments, load balancing, and orchestration in a decentralized setting. The team proposes to use a number of decentralized infrastructure and components. The 3 different types of stakeholders involved include - AI Consumers, Workflow Planners, and Platform Operators.
