A technical whitepaper detailing Session's architecture, titled 'The Session Protocol: A Decentralised, Anonymous, and Censorship-Resistant Messenger', was published on arXiv.

Governance of the Session project was transitioned from the Oxen Privacy Tech Foundation to the newly formed, Swiss-based Session Technology Foundation (STF).
