Stephen Park is an entrepreneur and former lawyer best known as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the media company Asian Boss. Before establishing the company, he worked in the consulting and legal fields. [1]
Park attended the University of Sydney from 2001 to 2005. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with Honors and a Bachelor of Commerce, with specializations in Economics and Finance. [1] [2]
Park began his professional career in 2008 as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he worked for three years before moving into the legal field. From 2012 to 2013, he served as a lawyer at King & Wood Mallesons. In 2013, he left the legal profession to establish Asian Boss, Inc., where he has remained as Founder and CEO.
In the early years of Asian Boss (2013–2017), Park also worked as a content creator. He became known for conducting street interviews in South Korea, where he asked ordinary citizens their views on issues such as domestic politics, social change, and international relations. These interviews aimed to highlight everyday perspectives that were often underrepresented in mainstream media.
Over time, Park transitioned from being primarily a media entrepreneur to engaging with emerging technologies. Recently, he has expanded his focus into the AI and Web3 sectors, reflecting a shift in both his professional interests and the broader evolution of digital media and technology. [1] [2]
In addition to his work with Asian Boss, Park created The Boss Code, a media platform featuring interviews with entrepreneurs, investors, and public figures from Asia and beyond. The series presents long-form discussions on leadership, technology, and business, often focusing on themes such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and innovation. Through these conversations, the platform highlights diverse perspectives on social and economic change while documenting the experiences of individuals who have influenced their respective industries.
In a 2025 episode, for example, Park interviewed Brian Wong, the first American hire at Alibaba and author of The Tao of Alibaba. The discussion covered the company’s growth, organizational culture, and Wong’s reflections on leadership and values during his time working with Jack Ma.
