Eran Barak is a business executive who serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shielded Technologies. He has over three decades of experience in the fintech, information technology (IT), and telecommunications industries, with a focus on building and scaling international service companies. [1]
Eran Barak has held leadership roles across the technology, blockchain, and financial services sectors. In May 2025, he became Chief Executive Officer of Shielded Technologies, a New York-based engineering company specializing in privacy-enhancing decentralized technologies and serving as the core technology partner for the Midnight Network. From March 2023 to May 2025, he served as CEO of Midnight, a data protection-focused blockchain project developed by Input Output.
Prior to this, Barak was President of Breem Group Limited from June 2022 to February 2023, advising multinational companies in blockchain, big data, and fintech. From May 2014 to May 2022, he was Chief Operating Officer of Symphony, where he oversaw the growth of a global financial services communication platform from inception to over $1 billion in valuation. He also served as a Board Member for FINOS between May 2020 and May 2021, and as CFO and Board Secretary for the Symphony Software Foundation from October 2014 to March 2016.
Earlier in his career, Barak held multiple VP roles in strategy and business development at Amdocs (July 2011–March 2014), worked as a Senior Strategy Consultant at Sentigo Technologies (April–June 2011), and spent over six years at Thomson Reuters (August 2004–March 2011) in senior marketing and community strategy positions. He also served as Director of Corporate Development at Cellglide (April 2003–August 2004) and VP of Product Marketing at VocalTec (June 1998–April 2003). [2]
Barak holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science, which he received from Tel Aviv University. He later continued his education in the United States, earning an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
