BC Wong is a Singaporean legal professional and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin. He previously served as the company's Chief Legal Officer before being appointed to the CEO position in January 2025, where he focuses on global expansion, regulatory compliance, and technological infrastructure. BC Wong is the Chief Executive Officer of KuCoin Exchange, a role he assumed in January 2025 after serving as the company’s Chief Legal Officer from July 2023 to July 2024. As CLO, he led KuCoin’s global regulatory strategy, working on licensing efforts in multiple jurisdictions and strengthening engagement with financial regulators across the European Union, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Since becoming CEO, Wong has emphasized expanding KuCoin’s global footprint, enhancing compliance, and improving user security. Under his leadership, the exchange has invested in overhauling its technical infrastructure, including a full redesign of its wallet architecture, the implementation of a real-time data system, and the strengthening of security frameworks. He also oversaw the establishment of a research team of more than 20 specialists dedicated to compliance, proof-of-reserves, and transparent reporting. In May 2025, he announced plans to launch region-specific, compliant platforms in Europe and Australia and to continue building out the ecosystem around the KuCoin Token (KCS).
