Defi.money was founded as a cross-chain, decentralized stablecoin protocol. The official project X (Twitter) account was created in January 2024.

The team announced the sunsetting of the project, citing a lack of product-market fit and insufficient traction in the competitive CDP stablecoin landscape.

The user interface and all platform services, including borrowing, leverage, and staking, were taken offline. The underlying smart contracts remained operational for fund withdrawals.
