Sekuya
Sekuya is a gaming ecosystem that blends blockchain technology with interactive storytelling and multiplayer gameplay. It features a fantasy universe where players can explore, complete quests, and engage in battles while earning in-game assets. The project integrates NFTs and a play-and-earn model, supporting a virtual economy across various game modes. [1]
Overview
Sekuya is a gaming and entertainment company based in Singapore and Indonesia. It develops Web3-integrated experiences with AI and interactive storytelling. Its flagship project, Sekuya Saga, is a mobile Epic Fantasy MOBA RPG set in a ten-world universe where players engage in 3v3 battles using collectible characters. Sekuya emphasizes community engagement, decentralized ownership, and continuous innovation, incorporating Web3 features such as player-owned assets and token-based economies. [2]
History
Sekuya emerged from GGWP CLAN, a Web3 group that supported low-cap projects through marketing and community-building. Initially developed by four international developers, Sekuya faced challenges at launch in early 2022. After the original developers abandoned the project, it was taken over, restructured, and relaunched, achieving rapid market growth driven by community support.
Since 2022, Sekuya has expanded from a single community to 100 networks across 10 countries, intending to reach 1, 000. It has collaborated with Agate Studio to develop a MOBA RPG, with a pre-alpha release in 2024. Sekuya emphasizes community-driven growth and aims for long-term sustainability and global expansion. [3]
Sekuya Multiverse
Sekuya Multiverse features a variety of superpowers, hero characters, and 400 sermons. It is designed for a global audience of MOBA and RPG players. The flagship game, which launches after the pre-alpha stage, introduces a 5v5 battle format with customizable abilities, a JRPG art style, and third-person gameplay.
Development has focused on game design, urban planning, and community integration, allowing player networks to establish guild spaces. The game blends MOBA and RPG elements within a ten-realm fantasy setting, where players can hunt sekumon souls or compete in battle arenas. A limited multiplayer pre-alpha is currently available, with an alpha MOBA version released in late 2024. [4]
Sekuya Saga
Sekuya Saga is a 3v3 multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) developed by Sekuya in partnership with Agate, with input from veterans of World of Warcraft and Vainglory. The game features fast-paced anime-inspired combat with strategic depth and novel character abilities.
Set in a visually detailed universe, players explore environments within the Astra Hunter School in Caeli Celestia, a social hub integrated with the game's lore. The collaborative development approach incorporates expertise from multiple industry leaders, ensuring an innovative and refined MOBA experience.
The game features a Personalized Super Power system, where avatars gain passive abilities based on psychological assessments presented in a fantasy-themed format. There are 30 different passive abilities, with heroes divided into six roles: [5] [6]
- Sekuya Protector (Guardian): Absorbs damage and disrupts enemy advances.
- Warbringer (Warrior): Balanced in offense and defense, engaging in close combat.
- Harmony Herald (Support): Provides healing and buffs to enhance team performance.
- Shadow Stalker (Hunter): Specializes in ranged attacks and mobility.
- Celestial Mage (Magic): Uses spells and area-of-effect attacks for magical damage.
- The Jumpers (Custom): Combines abilities from different heroes for unique playstyles.

Sekuya features high-quality 3D playable characters, including heroes, antiheroes, and villains, each with a distinct storyline and abilities. The intellectual properties associated with them contribute to the growing Sekuya Multiverse, setting the stage for potential spin-offs. [7]

Game Modes
Sekyua Saga features two main game modes:
- Liberty Mode – A casual mode where players can compete without risking rank points. Auto-matching ensures balanced teams, and victories grant Star rewards.
- Saga Mode – A ranked mode where players earn or lose points based on match outcomes. Wins provide Star and equipment, while progression through the Saga Ranks unlocks stronger gear and additional rewards. Players advance through Saga Ranks by accumulating victories, requiring 135 wins without losses to reach the highest tier, Immortal. The leaderboard tracks individual performance metrics, such as victories, MVP awards, and kill streaks. Higher ranks and leaderboard placement yield $SKYA rewards. [6]
Gameconomics
Sekuya's game economy is built on a three-currency system to support in-game transactions and rewards.

- Moon – A premium currency for exclusive items and chests, only obtainable through direct purchases.
