Overview

Bodhi is the Next Generation blockchain-based platform that decentralizes the prediction market. It leverages the advantages of the state-of-the-art decentralized prediction markets by integrating third-party Oracles and voting-based decentralized Oracles via its Oracle abstraction layer.

History

Bodhi was founded by Xiahong Lin in May 2017. Prior to the pre-sale, Bodhi raised $1.5 million in seed funding led by DHVC (Danhua Capital), with participation from FBG Capital, INBlockchain founder Xiaolai Li, Qtum founder Patrick Dai, and Chandler Guo^[3].

It aims to build a reliable, autonomous global forecast market as a decentralized prediction market platform. Bodhi's innovative "replaceable Oracle" mechanism based on Bodhi's token (BOT) improves the reliability of predictive market decision-making processes and provides fairer, lower-cost events than traditional predictive market systems.

Bodhi prediction market was built on top of the Qtum blockchain. Qtum combines Bitcoin Core infrastructure with Ethereum Virtual Machine to provide stability, modularity and interoperability for dApps build on its platform. Bodhi aims to be one of the earliest and largest dApps run on Qtum.
