Ethan Sun’s career began in 2014 when he co-founded Auto3D, a Shanghai-based startup specializing in VR scanning solutions. The company developed proprietary hardware and algorithms for 3D modeling, which led to its acquisition by Ke Holdings Inc., a major real estate platform, in 2017. After the acquisition, Sun joined Ke Holdings as a Technical Lead, where he managed a VR product that digitized more than 30 million properties, making it one of the largest VR applications in real estate at the time, which served as a basis for later working with blockchain technology.

In 2018, Sun moved to Aibee Inc., an AI startup based in Beijing, where he held the position of Technical Director. During his tenure, he worked on large-scale indoor spatial mapping (SLAM) and 3D modeling systems integrated with deep learning technologies, which were applied in areas such as retail analytics and smart city development.

In 2021, Sun co-founded ATP.Club, a Shanghai-based platform that combined AI with motion capture technology to create interactive fitness games. The company developed a real-time 3D motion capture system with a latency of 8 milliseconds, which was used to power games such as boxing, racing, and dance simulations.
