Hyperbridge clarified its non-association with bridged.gg, a fork of its codebase, following an exploit. The team stated they had advised the forked project against deploying unaudited code.

The protocol's gateway contract was exploited, allowing an attacker to mint 1 billion unauthorized 'bridged DOT' tokens. The protocol was subsequently halted.
