Joyce Yang is an American investor and entrepreneur in the cryptocurrency and web3 sectors, known for founding Global Coin Research and for leadership roles in venture organizations focused on decentralized technologies. [1] [2]
Yang attended the Bronx High School of Science before studying at Harvard University, where she earned an A.B. degree in economics. [4]
Yang began her career in finance and equity markets, working in equities at Citi in Hong Kong between 2011 and 2012. She later joined Merrill Lynch as part of its software equity research division, where she focused on software industry analysis, financial modeling, valuation research, and institutional investor reporting related to technology companies.
From 2016 to 2017, Yang worked in operational planning and strategy at Blue Apron. She later became involved in startup and blockchain advisory roles, serving as an advisor to StarkWare between 2019 and 2020 and later advising Pivot Global beginning in 2024.
