Luke Champine
Luke Champine is one of the co-founders of Sia, a decentralized cloud storage platform using blockchain technology for security, and the CEO of the Sia Foundation. [1]
Education
Champine attended the University of New Hampshire in 2010 but later transferred to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. [1]
While at Rensselaer, he worked as a presales technical intern at Kronos and a platform mapping engineering intern at Akamai Technologies. [1]
Career
In 2013, Champine participated in HackMIT with David Vorick, a software developer he met at Rensselaer, where they collaborated on the early form of Sia, a decentralized cloud storage using blockchain, and the Siacoin. The following year, they founded Nebulous Inc., a company focused on developing Sia. [1]
Nebulous Inc. later split into Skynet Labs and the Sia Foundation in 2021. Champine became the CEO and president of the Sia Foundation. [2]
