$TAOSHI was created on the Solana Blockchain on February 24th, 2024, by a pseudonymous figure known as “Mr. TAOSHI,” or “Uncle.” The name combines “TAO” and “Satoshi Nakamoto,” acknowledging their significance in innovation. The project aims to build an inclusive community within the Bittensor ecosystem, encouraging learning and active participation in developing decentralized AI. Governance

On August 26, 2024, Mr. TAOSHI stepped down, transitioning control of the $TAOSHI project to the community in a move toward full decentralization. A team of community members and advisors now leads the project's growth and development, guiding its strategic direction and fostering community engagement, marking a new phase characterized by decentralized governance and collective ownership. ^[2]

Tokenomics

TAOSHI had a total supply of 21M tokens, but after the CTO, around 141k tokens were burned, leaving roughly 20.9M as the max supply. ^[2][3]

MindAI

On September 25, 2024, $TAOSHI announced a partnership with MindAI. As part of the partnership, MindAI integrated a customized WhiteLabel bot into the $TAOSHI community to explore decentralized AI. ^[4]
