Pablo Veyrat is a co-founder of Angle Labs, the development company responsible for creating the Angle Protocol. The protocol is known for issuing EURA, a decentralized stablecoin pegged to the Euro. [1] [2]
Pablo Veyrat earned a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering, specializing in Computational Social Science, from Stanford University between 2019 and 2021. He also completed the Cycle Ingénieur Polytechnicien at École Polytechnique from 2016 to 2020, where he studied economics, applied mathematics, and computer science. Before that, he attended Lycée Sainte-Geneviève, completing preparatory classes with a focus on mathematics, physics, and chemistry from 2014 to 2016. He obtained his Scientific Baccalaureate from Lycée Saint Jean de Passy in 2014. [4]
Pablo Veyrat is the Co-Founder and CEO of Merkl, a blockchain platform based in Paris, founded in June 2023. In 2021, he also co-founded Angle Labs alongside Guillaume Nervo and Picodes, with a mission to build the foundations for a permissionless and open financial ecosystem. Angle Labs serves as the primary developer of the Angle Protocol, a non-custodial, decentralized stablecoin platform initially launched on Ethereum. Under Veyrat’s leadership, Angle Labs secured $5 million in seed funding in September 2021, led by Andreessen Horowitz, with additional support from Fabric Ventures, Alven, Wintermute, Stake Capital, Divergence Ventures, and Global Founders Capital. Veyrat has overseen the protocol’s expansion across multiple blockchains, including Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism, and the launch of major stablecoins such as the Euro-pegged EURA and the U.S. dollar-pegged USDA, which was introduced in April 2024 as a yield-bearing asset.
Before his work in decentralized finance, Veyrat held roles in data science and venture analysis, including Data Scientist at Gorgias, Project Director at EDGEof, Inc., and Venture Capital Analyst at Maor Investments, where he performed market research, financial modeling, and strategic advisory. He also completed leadership training as an Officer Cadet with the Gendarmerie Nationale in France as part of his studies at École Polytechnique. [1] [2] [3] [4]
