Violetta Zironi is an Italian singer-songwriter and actress known for her five studio albums and international performances. She has also explored music NFTs and appeared in three films, including a Netflix Original.[1]
Violetta Zironi, born on April 5, 1995, in Correggio, Reggio Emilia, showed an early interest in music, joining a children’s choir at age three and later learning piano and ukulele. In 2013, she competed on the seventh season of X Factor Italy under Mika’s mentorship, gaining recognition for her ukulele rendition of the folk song "Shortenin' Bread." She finished in third place, releasing her single Dimmi che non passa and an EP featuring some of her songs from the show.
Following X Factor, Zironi sought more creative freedom, aiming to pursue new musical directions. She began performing internationally, relocating to Berlin in 2017 to continue developing her career.[1][2]
In 2018, Violetta Zironi released Half Moon Lane through Pon't Danic Music, followed by Scenes from My Lonely Window in 2019. In addition to her music career, she explored acting, taking on the role of Pamina in The Magic Flute of Piazza Vittorio (2018). Zironi aimed to broaden her artistic portfolio by starring as Franca in the Netflix film Rose Island(2020) and portraying Sissi in Io e Spotty (2022). While she has an English Wikipedia page, an Italian version has not yet been established.[1][2][3]
In January 2022, Violetta Zironi ventured into the music NFT sector by transforming her EPs—Handmade Songs, Moonshot, and Another Life—into NFT collections, which collectively generated 425 ETH in secondary sales. Since their launch in July 2022, her collections have consistently appeared on the Billboard music NFT top 10, positioning her as the only singer-songwriter in Web3 to maintain a Billboard presence for ten consecutive months.
Zironi shifted her focus from traditional music to explore the opportunities within Web3, aiming to build a community of 1,500 fans and sell over 10,000 music NFTs. She inscribed a song on the Bitcoin blockchain as an Ordinal for 1 BTC, marking it as the first song and visual file recorded on that blockchain. This piece encapsulates her first decade as an independent artist and was inscribed on a notable early Uncommon satoshi mined on May 26, 2013, the day she began her career. Through these initiatives, Zironi seeks to explore new pathways for independent artists within the blockchain space.[1][2][3][4]
