Jon Wilfong is an American technology executive specializing in sales, field operations, and business development. He is noted for his extensive leadership tenure at Scale AI and for joining Meta's Superintelligence team in 2025. [1] [2]

Jon Wilfong began his career with a technical foundation as a software engineer. He first joined Cisco as an intern in the summer of 2008 before transitioning to a full-time Software Engineer role from June 2009 to August 2011. He then moved into a customer-facing technical position as a Technical Marketing Engineer at Cisco, a role he held until March 2012. Following his time at Cisco, Wilfong took on roles that combined technical expertise with sales, serving as a Sales Engineer at Enghouse Video for a year and then as a Solutions Architect at Mashery from March 2013 to April 2014. His career subsequently shifted more directly into sales and account management. He worked as an Account Executive at Intel Corporation from April 2014 to October 2015 and then as an Enterprise Sales Manager at Runscope until March 2016. Afterward, he served as an Enterprise Account Executive at MuleSoft from March 2016 to September 2017.
In September 2017, Wilfong joined Scale AI, where he would spend a significant portion of his career in progressively senior roles. He started as a Strategic Account Executive and was promoted to Head of Sales in June 2018. His leadership responsibilities expanded when he became the Global Head of Solutions Engineering in October 2019. In March 2020, he was appointed Global VP of Sales & Field Operations for the company's Autonomous Robotics division. After a brief departure, he returned to Scale AI in March 2022 as the VP of Strategic Accounts and was promoted to Senior Vice President (SVP) of Field Operations in July 2022. Between his tenures at Scale AI, Wilfong served as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Parallel Domain from January 2021 to March 2022.
In mid-2025, Wilfong joined Meta as part of its newly formed "Superintelligence" group. In this capacity, he took on a Business Development role focused on AI field operations, joining a team composed of prominent researchers and engineers from companies like OpenAI and DeepMind.
Throughout his career, Wilfong has developed expertise that combines a technical background with sales and leadership skills. His areas of proficiency include software solution sales, API management, cloud computing, and enterprise software.
