Naomi Brockwell

Naomi Brockwell, also known as "Bitcoin Girl" is an Australian native, actress, film producer, and TV producer. She is well-known for her work as a tech journalist and privacy advocate, as well as her contributions to the and communities. Naomi has also worked in both film and television, having produced several award-winning documentaries and TV shows. [1]

Education

Naomi has an extensive background in the arts, having studied acting, classical music, and musical theater at various institutions in Australia. She has a degree in Acting from Curtin University, and a Classical Music degree from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Naomi also has a Certificate I in Musical Theatre from WAAPA and has studied at the WA Academy of Dance and Drama for an advanced diploma in Musical Theater. [2]

Career

Brockwell made her first appearance in off-Broadway productions in 2012, where she played a lead role in the musical "Man with a Load of Mischief" at the York Theater. She shared the stage with distinguished Broadway performers such as PJ Benjamin, Stephen R. Buntrock, Rachel de Benedet, Nancy Johnston, and Robert Petkoff. The following year, in 2013, she made her debut in the opera world by performing in "Suor Angelica" with the New York Lyric Opera. [3]

In 2013, Naomi began her career in the tech industry working as a policy associate at the New York Center. She quickly gained recognition for her knowledge of blockchain technology and became a regular contributor to various TV networks, including Fox News and MSNBC. It was around this time when she started her own Youtube channel in 2013, called Naomi Brockwell: NBTV. She has posted multiple educational videos, mostly around the topic of blockchain and cryptocurrencies as well as tech and tech related news. [4][6]

In 2015, Naomi's work in film and television production led her to become a producer for 19-times Emmy-Award-Winning Journalist John Stossel. Since then, she has produced several documentaries, including "Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It," which won the Special Jury Prize at the Amsterdam Film Festival and Best Film at the Anthem Film Festival. She also produced the award-winning documentary "The Bubble" in 2018. [5]

In addition to her work as a producer, Naomi is the founder and CEO of Rainsworth Productions, a New York-based production company. She is also the co-founder of The Soho Forum, a monthly debate series that explores topics related to economics and politics. [1]

Trivia

Naomi Brockwell is also a talented musician and dancer, having played the drums for 14 years and also being skilled at playing piano, guitar, ukulele, banjo, and recorder. She is also a state gold medal-winning Irish dancer. Naomi is fluent in Italian, French, and German, and has beginner-level proficiency in Russian and Japanese. Additionally, she has contributed to ReasonTV, a libertarian media outlet. [1]
