Yan Zhang

Yan Zhang is a Co-founder of , a decentralized and scalable framework for AI agents that enables users to create their own AI-Twins. He is also the Co-founder and CTO of rct.ai, a solution provider in the gaming industry building the with AI generated content. [1][2][3]

Education

Yan Zhang attended the Beihang University where he studied for a Bachelor degree in Software Engineering between 2011 to 2015. Afterward, he attended Carnegie Mellon University for a Master of Science - MS in Software Engineering from 2016 to 2017. [1][2]

Career

Yan Zhang started his career in 2012 as a Teaching Assistant at Beihang University until 2013. In May 2014, he worked as a Software Engineer at BMW Group where he built up internal communication platform of BMW Research & Development Center. In 2014, he served as the President of AIESEC and then a Site Reliability Engineer at Baidu Inc. until May 2015. [1]

Zhang also served as a Software Engineer and a Software Engineer Intern at Axwave Inc. (2016) and NVIDIA (2017) respectively. From August to December 2017, he served as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University. [1]

Zhang returned to NVIDIA in 2018 as a Software Engineer and October 2019, was promoted to the role of a Senior Software Engineer until February 2020. [1]

In November 2019, Yan Zhang co-founded rct AI. rct AI is a company building the with AI on . It is backed by Galaxy Interactive, Makers Fund, Skysaga Capital, Y Combinator (W19) and others. rct AI is providing AI solutions to gaming companies and developing crypto games. [3]

Delysium

Yan Zhang co-founded in 2021 alongside and Jerry Zhang. Delysium offers a simplified architecture designed to support an advanced AI-Agent Network and its ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and fast communication. This architecture consists of two main layers: the Communication Layer (also known as the Fundamental Layer) and the  Layer. Within these layers, the broader ecosystem—including the community, development, and interaction of AI Agents—is integrated. [4]

completed its first round of private-sale of over $4 million in March 2022, led by Galaxy Interactive and Republic Crypto with Anthos Capital, Bas1s Ventures, Eureka Meta Capital, Y2Z Ventures, Tess Ventures, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Lucid Blue Ventures, Unix Gaming, Ancient8, PathDAO, YGG SEA, , Smrti Lab, Metasense DAO and other institutions participating in the investment. In October 2022, Delysium announced a $10 million strategic funding round led by LA-based VC Anthos Capital with participation from Immutable, GSR, Blockchain Coinvestors, Leonis Capital, Plancker DAO, Antalpha Ventures(Bitmain’s venture arm), Perion and Formless Capital. [4]
