Coral Protocol

Coral Protocol is a decentralized protocol designed to facilitate collaboration, trust, and payments between , aiming to establish a foundation for safe artificial general intelligence (AGI). It provides open infrastructure to connect what it terms the "Internet of Agents".

Overview

Coral Protocol is designed as an open and decentralized infrastructure to enable communication, coordination, trust, and payments for the Internet of Agents. It addresses the increasing need for interoperability as organizations deploy various specialized that must collaborate across different domains and vendors. The protocol aims to provide a common language and coordination framework, allowing any agent to participate in complex workflows with others. Coral emphasizes broad compatibility, security, and vendor neutrality to ensure efficient and trustworthy agent interactions.

The protocol introduces standardized messaging formats for agent communication, a modular coordination mechanism for orchestrating multi-agent tasks, and secure team formation capabilities for assembling trusted groups of agents dynamically. Coral Protocol seeks to unlock new levels of automation, collective intelligence, and business value through open agent collaboration.

Coral's core features include agent-to-agent communication using structured messaging for context-rich conversations, and native support for lightweight transactions to enable autonomous services and value exchange. Ecosystem tools are provided to help agents register, , and collaborate, including a CLI to facilitate building with the protocol. Agent authentication is planned to provide cryptographically verified identity for secure agent interactions. [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]

History

The Coral Protocol rebrand from Ai23T and launch of the CORAL token on occurred in Q2 2025. [Milestones in Q2 2025 also included major exchange listings, the launch of Coral Server for hybrid agent execution, a public beta of the Coralizer CLI, and the announcement of initial enterprise and crypto use cases. The Coral Research Institute was established, and v1.0 released during this period.

Planned developments for Q3 2025 include Coral Session Contracts for on-chain agent task coordination, Coral Local Server & Agent Mesh Tooling, a live agent graph with budgeting , and Coral Explorer v0.2. Integrations with frameworks such as LangChain, CAMEL-AI, and AutoGen are also scheduled.

Q4 2025 plans involve agent-to-agent payments using the CORAL token, an on-chain ReputationManager with Coral Score v1, a Coral Verification Layer for agent identity, and the activation of Coral DAO governance modules. The initial MVP of a decentralized agent marketplace is also planned for this quarter.

In Q1 2026, Coral aims to launch a Coral SDK for building custom agent-powered apps, a Coral Stack Kit (local server + CLI + templates), and a multi-agent task graph engine. Bridges to , , and are also planned, along with Coral Marketplace v1 with agent monetization. [1]

Technology

Coral Protocol is designed to allow from any framework to be composed within a single network. It aims to orchestrate networks of specialized agents with lower overhead, and improve transparency and reduce risk through open, observable coordination.

Key components of the Coral Protocol include:

  • Coralized Agents: adapted to operate within the Coral Protocol ecosystem.
  • Coral Server: A central server facilitating communication and coordination between Coralized Agents.
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP): A protocol defining the structure and exchange of contextual information between agents.
  • Communication Threads: Structured messaging channels enabling agents to engage in context-rich conversations.

The protocol supports integration with AI frameworks like LangChain, CAMEL-AI, and . It uses structured messaging to allow agents to coordinate in communication threads. Native support for lightweight transactions enables autonomous services and value exchange between agents. [1] [2] [3] [6] [12]

Coral Protocol (CORAL) Token

CORAL is the native token of the Coral Protocol, used to facilitate agent-to-agent payments, session execution, and reputation scoring within the ecosystem. It is intended to fuel a decentralized ecosystem where can work together autonomously.

CORAL can be traded on (DEXs) and (CEXs). The most active trading pair is CORAL/SOL on . Other options include and Meteora. [6] [12] [11] [1] [2]
