Matt Elder
Matt Elder is the CTO and co-founder of Reserve, a protocol for creating asset-backed stablecoins on Ethereum. [1]
Education
Elder graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2006. He then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned his MS in Computer Science in 2008. [1]
Career
During his time at USC, Elder worked as a software engineer at the Industrial Mathematics Institute and later at netSweng, LLC. While studying at Wisconsin-Madison, he was a researcher working on techniques for the interpretation of machine code. After graduating, he worked as a research engineer at Quixey, a deep mobile research company, until 2014. [1]
In 2015, Elder worked for Google as a software engineer, working on machine-learning-based anomaly detection. In 2016, he left Google and became a researcher at Paradigm Academy, an education institution and company builder that was co-founded by Nevin Freeman. In 2017, Elder and Freeman co-founded Reserve, where he serves as the CTO. [1]
