Markus Levin held leadership positions in companies operating in the media, advertising technology, and data sectors before moving into blockchain. His early professional activities included roles at Novacore, Hive Media Group, and Sterkly Services.
Between 2011 and 2017, Levin served as CEO and Co-Founder of Sterkly Services, an adtech company that was acquired by Avantis Team Technologies. At Novacore, where he was CEO and Co-Founder from 2013 to 2014, his work included Bitcoin mining and large-scale data problem solving. From 2014 to 2017, he served as CEO and Co-Founder of Hive Media Group, a media company that was acquired by OpenWeb.
XYO
Levin co-founded XYO in 2018 with Arie Trouw and others. He had previously mined Bitcoin, with his first Bitcoin mined in 2013, and subsequently became involved in blockchain technology.
XYO developed a decentralized network for the verification of geospatial and other physical-world data. The network combines blockchain technology, cryptographic verification, and Proof of Location to process and validate location-related information. Its architecture distributes data verification across the network rather than relying solely on centralized data sources.
