Cobak
Cobak is a Korean Web3 crypto community and investment information platform that combines community, real-time market data, news, and insight features in a single service. Launched in March 2018, it is currently operated by PandoraTV Co., Ltd. and uses its own utility token, Cobak Token (CBK), for participation rewards. In 2026, Cobak aims to go beyond a community and become a platform that deeply understands the Korean crypto market through data and insights.
Overview
Cobak is designed to let Korean crypto investors find information, discuss it, and earn participation rewards in one place. Its core idea is to bring prices scattered across exchanges, domestic and global news, and investor opinions together on one screen.
As of November 2026, Cobak has more than 15,000 daily active users (DAU), more than 250,000 monthly active users (MAU), and more than 670,000 cumulative sign-ups. It also has more than 127,000 on-chain active users.
Cobak offers features tailored to the Korean market, such as the Kimchi Premium indicator, KRW-denominated prices, integration with Korean exchanges like Upbit and Bithumb, and events scheduled in Korea Standard Time.
Community activity is tied to rewards. Users can earn points or CBK by writing posts and comments, joining quizzes, and taking part in airdrop events. Under its 2026 roadmap, Cobak is expanding its role from a community into a data and insight platform for the Korean market. [3]
History
Cobak launched in March 2018 as a crypto price-tracking and community service. Its official X (formerly Twitter) account, @CobakOfficial, was created the same month. In October 2018, it introduced a feature for viewing ICO information and purchasing tokens, along with an in-app Cobak Wallet. [9]
Cobak expanded quickly in 2020. In September, it secured strategic investment from four foundations, including NEO and Ontology. [7] In October of the same year, it issued Cobak Token (CBK), an Ethereum ERC-20 token, which was listed on Upbit, Coinone, and Gate.io in December. [8]
In 2021, Cobak surpassed 500,000 members. In 2023, it launched a service for converting Cobak Cash (CC) to CBK and expanded its global news partnerships. In 2024, it released CBK Whitepaper V2.
In October 2024, Cobak released a new mobile app. In January 2025, CBK was listed on Bithumb and Cobak launched its VIP membership, Cobak Black. Throughout 2025, it rolled out a major community overhaul, a redesigned News Home, the Comment Index reward system, and a newsletter. [4]

Features
Community
The Cobak community includes boards for coin information, airdrops, stocks and investing, coin Q&A, and general discussion. After a major overhaul in February 2025, it added curation tabs such as Popular and Trending Views, along with activity score and sponsorship rankings. [5] [4]
Spaces
Spaces are where projects communicate directly with users. Projects run their own Spaces and share official information such as announcements and updates, while users can check that information in one place and share their views. Cobak provides technical support to projects that operate Spaces.
Market and Investment Information
Cobak provides real-time prices from Korean and global exchanges, the Kimchi Premium (the Bitcoin price gap between Upbit and Binance), and a Fear & Greed Index. It also sends alerts on unusual exchange activity, such as sudden volume spikes or sharp price drops. Its investment information centers on insights that reflect Korean market conditions and the behavior of Korean investors. [2]

Cobak runs a newsroom that curates news and disclosures from Korean and global outlets, and gathers project and event information in a dedicated section. It also offers the Cobak Newsletter (since October 2025), which summarizes market developments, and the Cobak Crypto Glossary (since January 2026). [4]

Cobak offers AI Trend Picks, updated every four hours, and Key Issues at a Glance, which groups major issues together.
Cobak Live
Cobak Live is a weekly live quiz event. Participants learn about crypto projects through the information provided, solve quizzes based on it, and can earn points.
Cobak Wallet
Cobak Wallet is a non-custodial wallet built into the app. It supports Ethereum and Polygon and integrates with MetaMask and WalletConnect. [5]

Community participation is linked to a reward system based on each user's activity and contribution, such as the Comment Index. The Comment Index was introduced in May 2025, replacing the previous comment missions. Cobak Black, the VIP membership, offers members exclusive benefits. [4]
Cobak Token (CBK)
CBK is an Ethereum ERC-20 utility token issued in October 2020, with a total supply of 100 million. It trades on exchanges including Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Bitget, Gate, and HTX.
CBK is distributed as a reward for community participation and can be used as a utility token within Cobak's services. [6]
Token Migration
On September 30, 2026, Cobak announced a 1:1 migration of CBK to a new smart contract to improve stability and technical compatibility. The swap service runs for six months starting in November 2026 and covers CBK on Ethereum, CBK on Polygon, and Cobak Cash (CC). [1]

2026 Roadmap
On January 21, 2026, Cobak announced its quarterly roadmap. The goal is to move beyond a Web3 community and become a platform that deeply understands the Korean crypto market through data and insights. [2]
