AIDEN (prev. IQ GPT)

AIDEN (prev. IQ GPT) is an AI agent for blockchain knowledge developed by IQ AI, the team behind the Agent Tokenization Platform (ATP). AIDEN focuses on providing real-time and contextually relevant information within the blockchain domain. ^[5]^[6]

In March 2025, the official AI chatbot name was changed from IQ GPT to AIDEN following a 61% vote by the IQ community. Shortly after, AIDEN relaunched as one of the first tokenized agents with IQ's ATP alongside SOPHIA. ^[20]

AIDEN Tokenization

On December 12, 2024, IQ announced that AIDEN would relaunch as a tokenized agent with its own independent token. This allowed AIDEN to have new tokenomics that enable direct community governance, allowing users to influence the agent's direction and share in its success. ^[20]

History

AIDEN (previously known as IQ GPT) was launched in 2023 by IQ.wiki (formerly known as Everipedia) to help users access real-time and reliable crypto information from a wide range of sources. It caters to various use cases, including learning, development, and trading activities. AIDEN streamlines research processes, filters out irrelevant data, and offers contextually specific content for users seeking accurate and up-to-date information in the blockchain domain. ^[4]^[6]

In an interview with CoinDesk, IQ.wiki Chief Brain Navin Vethanayagam explained the concept behind it:

"Reading through a 1,000 word encyclopedia entry to answer a question is difficult and time consuming for users, and the GPT-4 search engine solves that as users can simply ask a question," said Navin Vethanayagam, Chief Brain of IQ.wiki. "At the same time, by making information search easier, the search engine, called IQ GPT, helps fight misinformation and makes onboarding easier for new traders," he added. IQ GPT "integrates a crypto domain-specific model of OpenAI’s GPT-4" and has been trained on data from information platform CoinGecko, The Associated Press, Korean crypto news outlet CoinNess, Hong Kong government's InvestHK, decentralized finance (DeFi) content provider Flywheel DeFi, and IQ.wiki's repository of encyclopedia entries. It also has ongoing access to these sources.The search engine includes the original source so that users are able to discern misinformation, Vethanayagam noted.

In 2023, AIDEN integrated contents and data sets from platforms such as IQ.wiki's extensive database, DeFiLlama, Frax Docs, Binance Academy, DeFi Protocol Documentations, The Associated Press News, CoinGecko, Flywheel DeFi, BlockBeats, InvestHK and CoinNess.^[12]IQ v3 outlined the team's objective of developing a version of AIDEN Chat that can be integrated into various platforms such as decentralized exchanges, DeFi applications, cryptocurrency projects, NFT projects, and data platforms, among others.^[13]^[14]

AIDEN for Traders

For traders, AIDEN is able to assist with queries related to arbitrage, technical analysis, and historical data analysis, and provide insight into new tokens and trading volumes. DeFi Enthusiasts are able to maximize their yield farming endeavors with AIDEN by optimizing their strategies through the queries they input into AIDEN. Users are able to receive answers on where to stake and claim rewards based on gas prices, and metrics on existing or new pools. AIDEN utilizes CoinGecko’s premium market data APIs and pulls data directly on cryptocurrencies, NFT projects, and exchanges providing up-to-date and accurate information to users. This includes tracking price, volume, and market capitalization, CoinGecko tracks community growth, open-source development, major events, and on-chain metrics.^[2]

In November 2023, AIDEN integrated DeFiLlama, an aggregator of Total Value Locked (TVL) in the decentralized finance (DeFi) field. In March 2024, AIDEN integrated Etherscan, which allows AIDEN to access all of the data on the blockchain explorer. This allows AIDEN to respond to queries and show transaction data in a readable table format. Etherscan is a search engine that lets users look up, confirm, and validate transactions on the Ethereum decentralized smart contracts platform.
