Para is a wallet-as-a-service and authentication platform for fintech and cryptocurrency applications. Established in 2022, it provides software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs) for creating and managing embedded, non-custodial wallets and enabling transactions across blockchain networks.[1][2]
Founded by Nitya Subramanian in 2022, Para’s tools let developers add wallet creation, authentication, signing, and transaction capabilities to web, mobile, and server applications. Integrations begin with a Para project and API key; developers select an integration path based on who manages the user interface and authentication, and where wallet operations run. The platform provides SDKs for different frameworks, works with signing libraries and wallet connectors, and includes migration guides for applications moving from other embedded-wallet providers.[3][2]
Para reports that its platform serves more than 200 companies and protects more than 15 million end users across more than 100 chains. Its documentation describes the service as used by more than 100 teams and their users, totaling more than 15 million users.[2][3]
Para’s wallets are non-custodial: the platform and the integrating application do not hold a user’s complete private key. Para describes its key-management system as 2-of-2 multi-party computation (MPC), with key shares distributed between the user’s device and Para’s secure infrastructure so the full key is not assembled in one place. Users can create wallets through email, social logins, or passkeys without managing seed phrases.[2][1]
The company identifies passkeys, secure enclaves, biometrics, distributed key generation, and distributed signing as additional security measures. Its MPC tools support signing as well as on-demand key rotation and refresh. Para also provides configurable transaction permissions and policy controls, which organizations can customize or white-label to apply operational rules or compliance requirements.[2]
Para characterizes its wallets as censorship-resistant because users can leave its system and retain the ability to sign with their wallets. It says its use of Distributed MPC, rather than Shamir Secret Sharing, enables proactive key refreshes, application-specific transaction permissions, and on-premises deployments for institutional customers.[2]
Para supports Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible networks, Solana, Stellar, and Cosmos, as well as additional chains. Its platform describes support for more than 100 chains through one SDK.[2][3]
The platform’s APIs and partner integrations support on-ramps, off-ramps, transfers, swaps, and cross-chain bridges. Para also offers capabilities for stablecoin payments, payouts, treasury operations, and cross-border money movement. Wallets can be provisioned for an application’s existing users, with onboarding through social logins; Para says developers can begin onboarding users in less than five minutes.[2]
Other developer features include programmable permissions, gas sponsorship, account abstraction, and wallet reuse across applications. Para offers white-label interfaces that can match an application’s branding. Its pricing includes a free tier, paid plans scaled by monthly active users, and enterprise options.[1][2]
Para says it is designed to work with different chains, stablecoin issuers, and on
Para identifies S&P Global and Coala Pay as customers. Coala Pay CEO Melyn McKay said the company reduced stablecoin-payment speed by 99% using Para. Para also cites a customer statement that wallets can be provisioned in milliseconds for agents to settle x402 payments instantly.[2]
A Para case study reports that Decal settled more than $4.1 million in stablecoin payments at checkout.[2]
RootData lists Andreessen Horowitz, Geometry, Spice Capital, Diogo Monica, Nathan McCauley, Rene Reinsberg, Marek Olszewski, and Zaki Manian among Para’s investors.[1]
