Paul R. Brody is the Global Blockchain Leader at Ernst & Young (EY) and the Chair of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA). He is a prominent figure in corporate blockchain strategy, known for his advocacy of public, decentralized blockchain networks for business applications. [1] [2]
Paul Brody earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University, completing his studies between 1990 and 1995. During the same period, he also obtained a certificate in African Studies from Princeton University in 1995. He received his secondary education at Colorado Academy, which he attended from 1977 to 1990. [3]
Paul Brody has held senior leadership roles across technology consulting, enterprise software, and blockchain-focused organizations. Since 2016, he has served as Global Blockchain Leader at EY, where he oversees the firm’s blockchain-related activities across audit, tax, and consulting, including strategy development, engineering initiatives, and research efforts. He previously led EY’s technology sector strategy in the Americas. In parallel, Brody has been involved with the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, first as a board member beginning in 2022 and later as chairman from 2024, representing enterprise interests within the organization.
Earlier in his career, Brody spent more than a decade at IBM in executive and partner roles, including leadership of global industry services for electronics and responsibility for mobile and Internet of Things services in North America. His experience also includes co-founding and serving as a senior executive at the video streaming startup Zediva, as well as business development roles at ClearCross and i2 Technologies. He began his professional career as an analyst at McKinsey & Company, working on healthcare and technology strategy projects in the United States and Asia, and earlier held a marketing management role at MTS in Nigeria.
