Completed his PhD in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University with the dissertation 'Logic and Games on Automatic Structures'.

Joined Google as a Research Scientist on the Google Brain team, shifting his focus from academic logic to industrial deep learning research.

Co-authored the seminal paper 'Attention Is All You Need', introducing the Transformer architecture which became foundational for modern large language models.
