Career

He joined BGC Partners in 2009, overseeing electronic platforms supporting the firm's fixed-income and yield-curve trading businesses, and working with traders and institutional clients on electronic execution and workflows. In 2011, Leaman moved to Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking, where he spent more than seven years in Prime Brokerage. He managed relationships with hedge funds and managed futures clients, supporting electronic trading, financing, and platform integration for institutional customers.

Leaman joined as a founding team member in 2018, serving as Head of Market Operations. He established the company's settlement, reconciliation, and trading operations, helping build the operational infrastructure for its regulated platform. In 2020, he was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer, where he expanded the company's client-facing organizations, including relationship management, solutions engineering, global support, settlement operations, and liquidity programs, while working with product, engineering, compliance, and legal teams to support new markets and platform capabilities. In 2026, he became Chief Client Officer, overseeing executive relationships with clients and partners, representing the company in industry and policy discussions, advising senior leadership on market and regulatory developments, and leading external engagement initiatives.
