Huong T. Tran

Huong T. Tran is a banking and investment professional with more than two decades of experience in finance and retail banking. She founded 6igma Ventures in July 2025, where she serves as Founder and Managing Partner, following a decade at Vietnam International Bank (VIB), where she was Head of Retail Banking and Head of Bank Strategy. ^[1]

Education

Tran graduated from the Foreign Trade University with a Bachelor’s in International Business in 2005. She later attended Fordham University, where she earned her MBA in Accounting and Finance. ^[2]

Career

Tran began her career in finance before joining Vietnam International Bank (VIB) in 2014. During her decade at VIB, she served as Head of Retail Banking and Head of Bank Strategy, where she worked on the development and transformation of the bank's retail banking operations. Her responsibilities included credit cards, secured lending, and bancassurance, and the retail business expanded its customer base and assets under management during her tenure. In July 2025, Tran founded 6igma Ventures, where she became Founder and Managing Partner. The firm focuses on early-stage investments in fintech, applied AI, and technology platforms across Emerging Asia and the United States. Her work has also included advising startups and evaluating opportunities involving financial and technology infrastructure. ^{[3] [4]}
