Education
James Bennett attended King's College School Wimbledon from 2003 to 2010, where he completed the International Baccalaureate, studying economics, mathematics, physics, geography, Spanish, and English. He later studied at the University of Manchester from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics. [3]
Career
James Bennett began his career at GE, participating in the company's Financial Management Program from 2014 to 2017, where he completed finance rotations across the United Kingdom, Italy, Hungary, and the United Arab Emirates. He later joined GE Healthcare's Corporate Audit Staff before moving into the digital asset sector.
In 2017, Bennett co-founded Bitassist, a blockchain consulting and research firm, and also co-founded the London Blockchain Meetup, a professional networking community focused on blockchain technology. From 2019 to 2021, he served as Chief Executive Officer of ByteTree Group, overseeing the company's expansion into digital asset management and research services, and has remained a Non-Executive Director since 2021.
Between 2021 and 2024, Bennett was Chief Executive Officer of Digital Gold (DGLD), a Swiss-based tokenized gold platform. In 2024, he became Chief Executive Officer of Stable Mint, a Malta-based electronic money institution that issues MiCA-compliant stablecoins and provides regulated digital payment infrastructure.
